Match making in the works?

My friend Marieke came over yesterday to visit for a little while and brought her baby Elliot who was born on August 9th (our anniversary), just a couple weeks after Ainsley. I had to put these pictures on here because it was so cute how Ainsley just stared at Elliot when he was sat next to her. So... who will it be? Caleb? Elliot? Watch out men!!

Happy Birthday to Me

Sunday was my birthday. It was spent with my wonderful husband and beautiful daughter. Andy and I were both really tired so after going on a long walk and eating lunch out we came home and rested a bit. I tried to nap but couldn't get to sleep. Instead I talked on the phone to family which was great because I was feeling a bit homesick that day. Although we have a great support group of friends over here it's still nice to be with family on special days. Speaking of... only a few weeks until we come home to visit. Yay! Anyway, my 27th year of life was spent pregnant and as a new parent which I loved and continue to love even into the beginning of year 28. I'm sure this year will bring many more new joys as we watch Ainsley grow every day! The day before my birthday we met up with a few friends at Pizza Hut to celebrate so I've added a couple pictures from that day. Ainsley was getting some kisses from Caleb in one of them. He loves her. It's so cute, every time he sees her he says, "Baby" while pointing and wanting to touch or kiss her. He is an older man (1 year and 8 months old) but I'm pretty sure we don't have anything to worry about yet! ;) Later on Saturday night Daddy was teaching Ainsley how to change the channels so of course I snapped a shot. :)

We love pictures!

Just wanted to put up a few more pictures for all to see. Ainsley is 10 weeks now and we are noticing new little things every day. She has started entertaining herself for a little while before crying out for attention. She has found her hand to suck on which helps to extend the time in between feedings. She's been sleeping about 7 or 8 hours at night before waking up to eat (not quite every night yet though). I think she likes the sound of her own voice because she coos and squeals all the time. It's so cute! She notices herself in the mirror now although I don't know what she thinks of that yet. Her hair just keeps growing and still, as you can see, sticks straight up! She's got a natural little baby mohawk. As for Andy and I, we're doing well. Andy's getting more and more work done every day. I just joined a gym this week and am excited to start exercising again in hopes to lose this pregnancy weight. The top left picture is of Ainsley taking her last dose of medicine (I had thrush so we both had to be treated). She wasn't a big fan of the stuff! The middle picture is me getting in my cuddles after Ainsley woke up from a nap. Finally, the top right picture is Ainsley sitting in her Bumbo. Those things are great! They're supposed to help put babies ahead in the development of their muscles. We just sat her in it yesterday for the first time and she sat up so straight. She's got some strong neck muscles but she still couldn't manage for too long in the seat until she started slouching. Anyway, that's it for now.
